The objects of the group are to coordinate and support organisations and individuals involved in the field of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and the Electronic Product Code (EPC), by:

• participating in the EPCglobal national and international community and where appropriate, the EPCglobal working groups,
• fostering and promoting the development of an internationally unified identification system within the scope of RFID and EPC technologies.
• driving EPC pilots and implementations within New Zealand industry,
• actively seeking to drive EPC adoption and knowledge in New Zealand through education and marketing activities,
• integrating with other GS1 standards and technologies now and into the future.
