After Five 22 November 2007: RFID in healthcare case studies

The NZ RFID Pathfinder Group ‘After 5’ function: November 2007 report.

The most recent ‘After 5’ function hosted by AUT University lecturers Dave Parry, Bryan Houliston and Judith Symonds was held on the 22nd of November.
The new Deputy Chairman, Mark Rance welcomed everyone and invited attendees to listen to the two presentations. Both presentations were healthcare related, with the first one concentrating on RFID to verify medicine administration in the operating theatre presented by AUT University PhD Candidate Bryan Houliston. The second presentation provided an overview of ongoing research in Assisted Living using RFID technology presented by AUT University Senior Lecturer, Dave Parry.
There were approximately 30 attendees from industry and research centres and some great opportunities to network.

The powerpoint slides accompanying the presentations mentioned above are available in the Resources section, RFID Backgrounders and White Papers.
